Constitutional Court - Supreme Court crisis in the judiciary!
The 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals filed a criminal complaint against the members of the Constitutional Court, who ruled that Can Atalay, a member of the Turkish Workers' Party (TİP) who was arrested in the Gezi Park case and sentenced to 18 years in prison, was a "violation of rights".
The chamber ruled that the "right violation" decision of the Constitutional Court should not be complied with. The Chamber sent a copy of the decision to reduce Atalay's membership of parliament to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Opposition parties interpreted this decision as "a blow to the judiciary".
