Crowdstrike chaos around the world: Companies affected in Turkey, THY cancels 84 flights

CrowdStrike systems worldwide due to the shortage of CrowdStrike systems, also adversely affected many organisations in Turkey. Turkish Airlines announced that 84 flights were cancelled due to the global shortage. While it was announced that unused tickets can be refunded without interruption, THY Press Counsellor Yahya Üstün said, ‘Our flights will gradually return to their normal course.’ The Information Technologies Authority (BTK) and the National Cyber Incidents Response Centre (USOM) have started working to determine the source of the problem and to eliminate it. In the statement made by USOM regarding the problem, it was stated that solution suggestions were shared with all cyber incident response centres. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said that the problem was not caused by a cyber attack and that a significant part of the problem was eliminated.

Reuters reported an outage at the London Stock Exchange, while Alaska officials said that many 911 and non-emergency call centres were not working properly.
This problem was resolved after about 12 hours and the recovery of computers is ongoing

Trump made a speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee after his assassination attempt on 13 July. Trump said, ‘I accept the nomination to be president of all America’ and stated that they will achieve a great victory in the November elections. İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu was elected as TFF President!

Turkey Football Federation (TFF) Ordinary Financial and Electoral General Assembly was held at JW Marriott Hotel. After the vote counts were completed, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu was elected TFF president. It was reported that 274 delegates voted in the election. UEFA and FIFA representatives also followed the election.
